Fans of the Sony Xperia line may be too excited and in awe of the latest Xperia Z5 phones but those who still have their older Xperia Z are left wondering if they would still get the latest Android Lollipop. No need to wait that long as Android 5.1.1 Lollipop software update is now available for several Xperia variants like the Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, and even a couple of Xperia Z tablets.

A couple of months ago, the Sony Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z3 received the same update. It was a first for Sony since Android 5.1.1 have been rolling out for other devices like the Nexus 9, Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 edge, Moto X Pure Edition, LG G Stylo, LG Leon, and the HTC One M9.

This time, even the older Xperia are getting the updated firmware. Android 5.1.1 Lollipop build number 10.7.A.0.222 is now ready for the following specific models:

• Sony Xperia Z – C6602, C6603
• Sony Xperia ZL – C6503, C6506
• Sony Xperia ZR – C5503
• Sony Xperia Tablet Z Wi-Fi – SGP311, SGP312
• Sony Xperia Tablet Z LTE – SGP321

According to XPERIA blog, the security patch for the Stagefright vulnerability may still not be included in this one but should be available very soon.
