Remember the Lenovo S60 that launched in India last May? The mid-range smartphone is finally getting a taste of the sweet Android 5.0 Lollipop. From KitKat to Lollipop, the phone is about to get sweeter than ever. Aside from being sold in India, the Lenovo S60 was also made available in Russia complete with it’s 5-inch IPS display screen, 13 megapixel rear camera, 5 megapixel front-facing camera, 4G/LTE connectivity, and a 2150 mAh battery.
I know you’re probably saying this one looks just like an iPhone 4C because it really does especially the yellow variant. To review, this smartphone runs a 64-bit quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm SnapDragon 410 processor and features a 2GB RAM, 8GB built-in storage, microSD card slot for expansion up to 32GB, Dual SIM support, and Lenovo Vibe 2.0 UI. When it was first announced, we said it might be updated to Vibe 3.0 especially when the Android Lollipop is made available.
This mid-ranger’s sweet update rollout will happen over-the-air. If you own a Lenovo S60, you should be receiving an OTA notification anytime soon.
Make sure you have at least 1.32GB of free space and are connected to WiFi. Do backup your mobile phone’s data including all contacts, photos, videos, and files first before installing the update because anything can happen. We don’t want you losing important data so always create a backup before making any major changes to your Lenovo S60.
