A new Android MID from Sony Ericsson has seemingly leaked in China, differentiating itself by virtue of a full hardware QWERTY keyboard rather than relying solely on an on-screen ‘board. The photo leak prompted a slug of other tidbits, too, with Engadget being told that the handheld runs a stock Android 2.1 install and has a 5.5-inch touchscreen.
Unusually, the original source in China reckons Sony Ericsson have no internal plans to put Android 2.2 on this unnamed handset, though that of course could change by the time it launches. That’s expected to take place this coming fall, with Sony Ericsson currently working on low-level drivers.
