It’s not just the XPERIA X8 that is giving Sony Ericsson Android shivers this morning; the company has also announced its Android 2.1 upgrade plans for the XPERIA X10, X10 mini and X10 mini pro. All three handsets will see an Android 2.1 update in Q3 2010 “in selected markets”, which will also see the X10’s camera boosted with HD video recording capabilities.
Then, in Q4 2010, the XPERIA X10 will receive a further update that will tweak the onboard Timescape and Mediascape apps with some new refinements. Finally, it will get the ability to wirelessly connect to a compatible TV, and show multimedia content stored on the handset.
