Not everyone actually believes in spending money for apps since there are a lot of free ones out there anyways. They consider in-app purchases to be frivolous and would rather spend their money on something else other than digital purchases. If you’re one of those, sometimes, you still do get a case of paid app envy. Amazon Underground is the solution to this, and if you live in Europe, you’ll be happy to know that they have expanded more countries to those who can access all these free (previously paid) apps.
If you think that Amazon Underground is some secret society whose first rule is you shouldn’t be talking about it, it is actually a program from the online retail giant that lets users have free access to apps and in-app purchases that were previously not free. It offers developers a monetization program wherein they get paid for every minute that people stay on their apps and actually use it, instead of just a one-time payment.
Now Amazon is expanding this to sixteen more countries, specifically those located in Europe. This includes Spain, Italy, France, Germany, etc. There are now a total of 20 countries who will be able to access this growing database of participating apps and developers. Right now there are over 1500 apps and games to choose from, so you probably will have a field day just going through everything that is available.
While some would not be happy to have their app usage monitored by Amazon, some would think this is a fair trade off to having all these apps and games available to them for free. If yo live in one of the sixteen new countries, just head on over to amazon.com/underground to start enjoying and downloading, and hopefully using these apps.
