It used to be that users were already satisfied with getting 1 or 2 GB free from cloud storage services. But with the amount of media and data files that we collect everyday, mobile users are now looking for those that will be able to offer more than that. Some still go for free storage, but others are now willing to pay given the right incentive and also given the right, trusted brand. Amazon is a name that most people willingly share their credit card info with on a regular basis so it should be right up their ally.

The online retail giant is now offering customers unlimited cloud storage, something that their competitors like Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, cannot offer. You can choose between two different plans: the Unlimited Photos Plan and the Unlimited Everything Plan. The first one is of course if you have a whole lot of photos to back up in your laptop, tablet, smartphone, or camera. You can upload existing albums and then store all photos that you will be taking in the future automatically to your cloud drive. The Unlimited Everything Plan is pretty self-explanatory, with files, videos, documents, music, and everything else.

Do we even need to extol the benefits of having your files in the cloud? Despite several issues with security and leaks (not with Amazon though, but others like iCloud and Dropbox even), it still remains one of the best ways to make sure that you don’t lose anything ever again, at least digitally. Amazon’s cloud storage also comes with a mobile app so you can bring your files anywhere and organize them accordingly.

Both cloud storage services from Amazon offer free 3-month trial to let you experience what it is to have unlimited space. Once the trial expires, you can choose to go through with the plans, shelling out $11.99 annually for Unlimited Photos and $59.99 per year for Unlimited Everything.
