In a digital age where we take a lot of photos and videos, we’re always running out of space. Also, since we change devices as often as we change our bedsheets (maybe), having everything on the cloud makes more sense than just storing it on our device. Amazon is now offering an unlimited storage plan for its users in the UK and it will not cost you an arm or a leg.
The new Unlimited Storage plan lets you save all of your music, videos, photos, movies, and other files as well onto Amazon’s online servers. You will be able to upload and eventually download them again in their original size and resolution, which is a cause for concern for some users when dealing with cloud storage. All of these will be stored in the Amazon Drive and you can set-up your mobile devices to automatically save all photos and videos on the cloud drive, as well as back up all your content from your computer.
Those who already are subscribed to Amazon Prime, where unlimited photo storage is already included in the plan, can add the Unlimited Storage plan to their accounts so that they can also store videos and files. Those who are already subscribed to Amazon Drive but on a lower tier can also switch to this new plan, in case their current one is insufficient.
Amazon’s Unlimited Storage plan will cost you £55 per year or around $73 if converted. They have a free three-month trial in case you’re still on the fence about it. For now, this is only available in the UK and there’s no news yet if it will eventually be available in other countries as well.
