The Amazon Dash button isn’t a joke. Nope, the concept that Amazon said would make grocery shopping and delivery easier than ever is now a reality. There’s a real Amazon Dash button now available from the top e-commerce site, ready for all Prime members. It was initially available last year to a select group of people invited to try Amazon Dash in San Francisco and Los Angeles. It was tested to work on the Fresh website first but you can use it now on Amazon to quickly reorder the products you regularly consume.

Aside from the Amazon Echo, the company wants the Amazon Dash buttons to make home living more convenient. Shopping can be fun but for some, it can be exhausting especially when you just buy the same grocery items over and over again. But with those little Amazon Dash buttons, simply press them and expect your orders to be delivered the next day or in a few days.

Others may think the buttons are only for the lazy but hey, I know a lot of housewives who’d appreciate the Amazon Dash. I can imagine Amazon running out of stock because those ladies would hoard maybe dozens of buttons not only for their own personal use but for the whole household.

The Amazon Dash is ingenious in a weird and unnecessary way but definitely useful and convenient. If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you can get one for only $4.99. One or two won’t be enough. You need a lot actually especially if you’re a regular user of any of the following brands: Bounty, Tide, Cottonelle, Glad, Clorox, Gatorade, Maxwell house, Izze, Kraft Mac & Cheese, Olay, Gilette, L’Oreal, Huggies, Gerber Formula, Amazon Elements, or Wellness.

Amazon Dash works with a compatible app so you can setup your account and cancel orders anytime. Make sure you have WiFi connection at home because that’s how the buttons will connect to the Internet and contact Amazon automatically for your orders.
