Google’s Allo messaging app is still trying to make headway into an already crowded market, but it looks like they’re on the right track, especially with their latest update. They’re probably discovering that the way through users’ hearts is through emojis and stickers. And so their newest feature is to help you find the right one to use in your current conversations amongst the hundreds of emojis and stickers available. You also now get to choose your chat background and you even get some Fantastic Beasts in the mix.
Apparently, finding the right sticker or emoji is a pain because you have so many choices. That’s why we stick to the ones we usually use, which accounts for less than 3% of all available ones. So when you’re chatting with someone in Allo and if you tap the Smart Smiley button, it will give you suggestions based on what you’re talking about. So if you’re talking about dinner, you’ll see food-related emoticons of course. The suggestions will change based on the words you use and even when you haven’t typed anything yet, it will still give you suggestions based on your conversation.
If you get bored with the plain background, you can now change the themes based on your style or your mood.
