One of the coolest things that Alcatel showed off during CES was a new series of affordable smartwatches. Those devices are designed for good looks and to work with any smartphone OS you might find including Android. If those smartwatches piqued your interest, you can now pre-order the device.
Pricing on the smartwatch is exactly what we heard during CES, $149 making it one of the cheapest smartwatches out there. Right now, the only place to pre-order the watch is via the Alcatel US website. The big selling point of this smartwatch is that it will work with Android or iOS, much like the Pebble.
Alcatel’s OneTouch Watch has a 1.22-inch screen with a resolution of 240 x 204. Power comes from a 210 mAh internal battery that keeps the watch thin at 10.5mm thick. You won’t have to take the watch off to wash your hands thanks to IP67 water and dist resistance.
Inside the thin chassis of the watch are a slew of sensors including an accelerometer, gyro, altimeter, heart rate sensor, e-compass, and NFC. Watch faces are customizable via the OneTouch move app. iOS devices from the iPhone 4S on iOS 7 and Android 4.3 or higher are supported. Connectivity is via Bluetooth 4.0.
