This year’s CES 2015 is getting crowded than ever. One of the companies super busy showing off new goods is Alcatel. It’s actually a surprise that the brand has a lot of new things to offer but that means more options for the Android lovers who are demanding for more affordable mid-range smartphones. Alcatel announced a slew of mobile devices: the ONETOUCH POP 10 and three POP 2 smartphones with 4G LTE.
The POP 10 is the latest, the lightest, and the thinnest 10-inch tablet today. It joins the brand’s POP family that consists of of 4G TLE-enabled tablets in different sizes. The POP 10 is one powerful tablet that offers speedy mobile Internet connection, smoother web browsing, and lag-free gaming and video playback. What’s so special about the Alcatel POP 10 is that it converts into a laptop, thanks to a special docking station and ergonomic keyboard that easily snaps on the side.
The ALCATEL ONETOUCH POP 10 comes equipped with a 10-inch IPS display tablet, 8GB built-in storage, Quad-core CPU processor, 5 megapixel rear camera, 2 megapixel front-facing camera, WiFi, and 4G LTE Cat 4 connectivity. As with any other Alcatel mobile devices, you can easily customize the Pop 10 with FlipCovers and neoprene pouches in different colors. Device also features ALCATEL ONETOUCH CONNECT and ALCATEL ONETOUCH LINK for easy synching of smartphone and tablet.
Three more Pop 2 smartphones were introduced by Alcatel: The POP 2(4), POP 2 (4.5), and POP 2 (5). These are affordable phones that runs the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.
First in line is the ALCATEL POP 2(4) that comes equipped with a 4-inch WVGA display screen, 5 MP FF main camera with flash, 4x digital zoom, VGA front camera, quad-core 1.2 GHz CPU, QR code scanner, and a 2000mAh battery. Of course, WiFi and 4G LTE Cat 4 are available, as well as, some pre-installed apps, one-finger zoom function, and dual SIM option. Phone is available in an array of colors: Aqua Blue, Jade Green, Lavander, Cozy Red, Lemon Yellow, Whitel, Platinum Silver, Ash Gray, and Volcano Black. You can choose either a white or black touch panel. Different color covers and FlipCovers are also available.
The slightly bigger ALCATEL POP 2 (4.5) almost has the same specs as the POP 2 (4): quad-core 1.2 GHz CPU, 5 MP camera, VGA front camera, QR code scanner, 2000mAh battery, WiFi, and 4G LTE Cat 4 except for the 4.5-inch FWVGA display screen. Even the color variants, color covers, and Flip Cover options are the same.
Last but not the least is the ALCATEL POP 2 (5) that has better specs than the two. It comes qith a 5-inch FL HD display with IPS, quad-core 1.2 GHz CPU, 8 megapixel camera, 2 megapixel front-facing camera with flash, WiFi, 4G LTE Cat 4 connectivity, and a bigger 2500mAh battery. No other colors and only FlipCovers are available for this particular Pop phone.
