The official AirDroid 3 went out of beta before 2014 ended and the app recently received an update from its developer Sand Studio. The tool now has some new features: Android 5 support in AirMirror, notification blocking from any app on the computer, notification action support for Notification mirror, and dismiss notifications in the Android notification bar on computer, at least for those devices running Android 4.3.
Some improvements and bug fixes have been made too. The installation bug for Android 2.x devices and remote camera bug for Bonus user have been now fixed. Monthly data usage stat in Hotspot have been added as well. With the AirDroid app, you can manage and access your Android device from the web or your Mac or Windows computer.
The app allows you to send and receive SMS from the computer, transfer files between a computer and Android device, phone notification mirroring, and AirMirror. Feel free to set and export music as ringtones, manage and control music and video playback, and transfer files between your computer and Android device. The app basically enables you to access your Android phone or tablet right on your desktop or laptop. No need to pick up the device just to check what came in because you can view notifications on your computer screen.
With the AirDroid app, you can also see through the lens of both back and front cameras right on your computer, share clipboard content, and push URL to Android to open it on a default web browser. It’s one app that makes your life easier–bringing the small mobile screen to a bigger one on your computer.
