According to Motorola’s Europe Facebook page, the MILESTONE and DEXT Android-based smartphones will get the 2.1 update. As you already know, Motorola US confirmed the firmware update to Android 2.1 for the Backflip, DROID, and CLIQ handsets.
Apparently, Milestone users will get the firmware update to version 2.0.1 first: “Attention Android lovers. The 2.01 update is on its way for all Milestone users. The Android 2.1 upgrade for Milestone is also on its way and will be ready in the next 2 months. We can confirm that Dext will get the Android 2.1 upgrade as well.”
As you can see, Milestone owners should be upgrading their devices to firmware version 2.0.1 anytime now. Motorola Europe recommends to visit its Facebook space for more info. As soon as the update is available the company will let you know on its Facebook fan page.
