Samsung may be preparing a successor to the highly popular Galaxy Note according to various tips and reports. While the phablet received mixed reviews and plenty of criticism for its larger than usual size, Samsung has sold over 7 million to date, and are apparently getting ready to launch a new and improved version later this year.
Now we’re obviously going to take this one with a grain of salt (or two) for now. Between the bizarre screen resolution we’re about to mention, and the iffy mockup image we are still on the fence. According to Unwired View Samsung is preparing a new 5.5-inch Galaxy Note 2 complete with a 1680 x 1050 resolution, running on a Super AMOLED Pentile Display. Other specs include 4G LTE, 1.5 GB of RAM, and Samsung’s new Exynos 5250 dual-core processor clocked around 1.7 GHz and of course Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Now the screen resolution is possible, but doubtful. Then the 1.5 GB of RAM is obviously a no go as they’ll most likely opt for 2GB like the recently announced Galaxy S III for the US. We’d expect something launching of this level as late as October to come with Samsung’s quad-core processor instead of a dual. Tips have mentioned it having a similar design as the Galaxy S III (given the mockup above) so we’d expect some sort of similar internal specs too. Hopefully this time around Samsung can manage a 3,000 mAh battery inside. The original Note had amazing battery life, but they totally could have fit a bigger battery under the hood.
Once we get more tips, details, or leaks we’ll update on if the Galaxy Note 2 will be coming in October.

which date launch note 2 bcoz i have note o
Why is the screen resolution doubtful? do you think they will go up or down in the resolution?
probably stay at 1280 x 800 (highest of any Samsung phone) but you never know these days..
likely being Samsung, they will push for 1080p. Doesn’t matter what you or I think or how absurd it may seem to us, they’ll just do it.
Ive tested it and it is a great phone
@df97c6da5576eae77ff9a363a31802c9:disqus you mind sending us a tip http://androidcommunity.com/send-tips/ with more details?
Yes please, any details would be amazing.
Samsung should have done a joint venture with Nintendo and had a combined Wii U controller /phone.
They need to go up to 6 inches with less bezel that will really make iphone 5
look pathetic.
it already does look pathetic regardless. Why did you even bring the Iphone up anyway? Totally irrelevant to the conversation.

if this happened I WILL BUY it
🙂
Dream Specs on GSNII
Please Samsung do this for me and for them!!
Cristopher Asis we think alike!
That’s Good we think the same. We Hope this happened!! 🙂
Is what I want in the Note II…
Wow! You are a fucking irrational moron!
Does he actually say the original note had good battery life because that simply is not true as it’s very poor! I own one so I know!!!
I don’t know what wrong with your note but I also have one and I get 6.5-7hrs of constant non stop gaming & Web surfing, which seems pretty damn good to me. It’s better than my NEXUS S I had prior to getting the GALAXY NOTE. There isn’t a bad thing I can say about the Note & the only real improvement I wish it had would be 2gb of RAM instead of the 1gb they should never of had on any top end Android phone, Android needs the extra RAM to work flawlessly. I just hope they don’t put a stupid ass flexible screen on the Note 2, a flexible screen on any phone is just retarded & extremely pointless. – KID ANDROID.. (white Galaxy Note SGH-I717M)
This is the exact same rumour as Ubuntulife’s one, Ignore it.
may have a quad core processor on this little monstor
if Samsung can add another slot for simcard to be become dual sim card note its will great.Just cant imagine how 5.5 screen look like but its good for business people like me compare to carry tablet.
first of, dear Samsung… Fuck you….
I just bought the Samsung (best phone I’ve ever had)and now I’m already hearing of a replacement, come on you don’t even let us fuly enjoy the phone now were outdated
That’s exactly how I’m feeling 🙁 …it was the first time I wasn’t suffering from phone-envy, and now I’m struck with this ailment again, as I am feverishly desiring the new Note! why! Oh why now, why not in another year?… I’d accept the defeat then, but at only 6 months after getting this superb piece of everything I ever wanted and no raging against incompetent engineering for the first time ever in my life, my short-lived happiness and excitement is being cruelly crushed by the early launch of the Note2 …Its because they want to compete with the launch of the pathetic I Phone 5…. They got the engineering ready from the galaxy S3, SO THEY GOT THEIR STRATEGY SPOT ON! Funny how Samsung used to be the worst phone, I mean mistake you could ever make! Now they are on top of the game!
