MAX GO, the mobile Android application for Cinemax subscribers, is now available in the Android Market. Similar to HBO GO, this service will be available after users authenticate their cable/satellite provider’s information. Any movie or series available to Cinemax on demand will be available for mobile use on MAX GO.
The application will require Android OS 2.1 to 2.3.3 to properly function. Unfortunately, for those running either 2.3.4 or 2.3.5, your devices are not currently supported. According to many reviews, it seems that many cable/satellite providers are not compatible with the application and thus leaving MAX GO with some pretty poor ratings.
Just like any application presently released, it must be compatible with a wide majority of devices – so HBO has some some obstacles to maneuver through before this is considered successful. This will be a great addition to current video streaming applications such as HBO GO, Hulu Plus, and Netflix. Over 400 movies and TV shows will be instantly available to stream, and of course quality will solely depend on the strength of your internet connection. Expect a proper review/hands-on with this application very soon.
