Huawei isn’t a name that most of us think of when looking for a high-end smartphone. Generally, the company is firmly entrenched in the low-end cheap Android smartphone realm. It looks like Huawei is set to make a push for some of the higher-end market with a very interesting looking new smartphone called the Huawei Vision.
The phone has some nice features like a 3.7-inch touchscreen. Under the hood hides a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 processor, 512MB of RAM, and 2GB of ROM. The smartphone will run the Android 2.3 OS and has a unibody chassis made from an aluminum alloy. It will come in rose gold, silver, or charcoal colors and has a curved touch design. The phone has a profile of 9.9mm at the thinnest spot and weighs 121g making it very portable.
The Vision has a 5MP autofocus camera inside with LED flash. The camera can also record 720p video. Other features include WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and a full range of messaging capabilities that you expect on a smartphone. The 3D interface the phone uses makes it easy to access the phone features from the home screen. The Vision will ship starting in September in select markets and will come with Angry Birds, Asphalt 6: Adrenaline, and other games installed.
