If you’re looking for a new Fitbit activity tracker to help you jumpstart your fitness goals for the year, the good news is that they have quietly unveiled two new devices, the Fitbit Inspire, and the Fitbit Inspire HR. However, the bad news is that you won’t be able to buy them just anywhere, not even on fitbit.com. This is because they are only available through their corporate, wellness, health plan, and health system partners so access to them is fairly limited unless you work in a company that has a Fitbit tie-up.

The Fitbit Inspire seems like your typical activity tracker. It will track your activities, including your sleep activity, and of course your calories that have been burned because of your activities. The touchscreen display on the device can also show you reminders to move when it detects you’re being too static and give you goal celebrations when you reach your, well, goals.

You can also get notifications for your calls, texts, and calendar alerts from your smartphone. They claim that the device can reach up to five days without needing to be charged. And in case one of your exercises is swimming, the Inspire is swim proof. You can also clip it to your clothes if you prefer that, although the clip is sold separately.

The Fitbit Inspire HR meanwhile has all that plus additional features, foremost of which is the heart rate tracking plus real-time heart rate zones. The sleep tracking is also more specific, tracking you through stages (light, deep, REM). You also get more than 15 goal-based exercise modes and can track real-time pace & distance with your phone’s GPS. It also comes in a comfortable, silicone band.

As for how much these devices will cost, they did not indicate since it won’t be available in retail stores. You’ll have to contact Fitbit directly but hopefully they will eventually make it more accessible for ordinary users.
