If you’re the type of person who likes playing around with launchers and widgets and themes and what-nots on your smartphone, finding one that’s really great and helps with your productivity is a joy. The Calendar Widget by Home Agenda is a favorite among the many fans of developer Fransisco Franco. Many find it to be one of the most customizable widgets available but if you don’t want to spend the $1.99 price tag, the good news is that there’s a lite version now available.
Simply called Calendar Widget Lite by Home Agenda, you will be able to add it to major launchers as long as they support the adding of widgets. Some of the launchers that support this would be Nova Launcher, OnePlus Launcher, Pixel Launcher, Hyperion, etc. This is one of the reasons why Calendar Widget is popular as you can still continue using your launcher of choice even while making use of this widget.
As for the difference between the full version and the free app, the former has more customization options obviously. The lite version still has some customizable things but it will not let you enable settings that are not directly connected to the calendar itself. This means you can’t change the appearance of the widget unlike when you use the paid version of the app. All the options that you can only use in the full version will have a yellow star next to it.
But if you’re okay to just spend the $1.99 one time fee, you’re better off getting the full version so you can get all the features. For example, you can also have the weather temperature in your widget, choosing colors and shapes for various elements in your calendar and the background, and other customizable items.
