This means you can go hands-free (as you should) on your phone while you’re driving.
Having Alexa support means you’ll be able to have access to more than 70,000 skills that are currently in Amazon’s digital assistant. This includes asking what the weather will be like later during the day, telling it to help you navigate to an unfamiliar place, adding something to your reminder or to-do list, and even controlling your smart home devices, all from the convenience of your car.
The Easy One Touch Connect is actually one of the first devices to use the newly-improved Alexa Mobile Accessory Kit. This is a “bigger and better” toolkit that they have made available for brands that want to incorporate the power of Alexa into their products. Aside from Alexa, the car mount will also hold your phone safely and securely as you can lock it in place onto the mount and it won’t get thrown around as you’re driving.
iOttie is displaying the Alexa-powered car mount at the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show. It will be available for purchase on the online store iOttie.com and on Amazon of course. No specific date has been given yet but it will be sometime in the first quarter of 2019. Pricing is also not yet available.
