We’ve finally gotten our first look at the rumored new smartwatch from Samsung, codenamed Pulse and rumored to be called the Galaxy Sport. Well, it’s not an official first look per se since it’s a factory render posted by notorious (and reliable) tipster @OnLeaks. It looks to be a more refined version of previous Gear Sport models that have been released. Based on this look, they might really be rebranding their sport watches from the Gear line to the Galaxy S line.

The slightly angular edges have now been smoothed into a circular crown and the etched edges that we’ve gotten used to with their Gear Sport device are now non-existent. While this new device is expected to be a successor to the Samsung Gear Sport, the fact that they are rumored to rebrand it to the Samsung Galaxy Sport means we can expect a different looking device, more akin to the aesthetic of the Galaxy S smartphones.

From the leaked images, that are actually a rendering of off factory data so may be close to the actual thing, we don’t see a rotating bezel but it may still be part of the final render. We see a few some visible input buttons on the side which may launch the menu or other specific apps and of course we expect that Bixby integration will be a big part of this wearable device.

The smartwatch is codenamed Pulse and according to @OnLeaks, it will come in black, silver, green, and pink gold options. Previous rumors also point to it running on Tizen rather than on Wear OS which isn’t really surprising given that this is Samsung after all. It will also supposedly have a 4GB RAM which is pretty high for a smartwatch.

With the Galaxy S10 announcement imminent, we can expect that this upcoming sports smartwatch will also be announced earlier or even at the same time. As always, we’ll keep you updated with all the latest rumors and leaks that will come out.
