It’s been only a week since the official OxygenOS 9.0.0 OTA started rolling out for the for OnePlus 5 and 5T and now the next version is ready. It’s an incremental release but the OxygenOS 9.0.1 is ready for the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T with some enhancements. OnePlus is really quick in launching updates and patches no wonder it’s No. 2 on AOSMark’s List of Top 20 Manufacturers in terms of OS updates. There aren’t too many additions but the changelog lists important changes in the system.
OxygenOS 9.0.1 delivers a fix for random reboots when screencasting and that issue with 4G VoLTE toggle missing. The reading mode and sRGB display mode have been optimized while stability for Wi-Fi connection is improved.
As usual, OnePlus is asking OnePlus phone owners to send feedback on whatever OxygenOS version they have. All information help the OnePlus team to improve and optimize different key areas of the OS and software.
If you own a OnePlus 5 or OnePlus 5T, feel free to check if an OTA notification is available. You can always check the under Settings. Remember, the over-the-air update is incremental. Only a few OnePlus 5/5T phone owners will receive the OS update. Others will receive the same in the coming days or weeks.
