Helio P90 AnTuTu

After Qualcomm and HiSilicon, here is Mediatek teasing its next mobile processor. We’ve seen the Helio P70 processor a couple of months ago, promising smarter AI and more responsive gaming. Qualcomm has the next-gen Snapgradon 855 while Samsung has the Exynos 8920. The new Helio P90 from MediaTek has just hit the AnTuTu benchmark. This means the chipset is ready to be commercially used in China. There is a possibility a Helio P90-powered phone will also be revealed soon. We’re no longer expecting a 2018 launch but definitely, next year.

The Helio P90 was last seen on the benchmark site with a score of 162000 (162k). This upper mid-range mobile processor works with a 6GB RAM device.

There is no mention what device but it was sighted running on the latest Android 9 Pie. We’re assuming the phone is from a Chinese OEM.

The score is higher than the Snapdragon 670 with 150K but still lower than the Snapdragon 710 (170k). The chipset is said to be configured with a pair of up to 2.2 GHz Cortex-A75 and two Cortex-A55 (2.0 GHz max). It’s built on the 12nm process already.

The processor also takes advantage of the PowerVR GM9446 graphics processor–clocking up to 970 MHz. Let’s wait and see for the official announcement by MediaTek.
