LG is definitely not giving up the mobile business. It’s still thriving but it needs to make changes in its business strategies. We’re not in the position to discuss such but we believe the other South Korean tech giant knows what it’s doing. Aside from the LG G7 ThinQ, the company also has other phone offers like the premium LG V35 ThinQ and the mid-range LG Q Stylus. A new one has been introduced over the weekend so we’re left with more options. Meet the LG Stylo 4 which is simply another version of the LG Q Stylus.

The ‘Stylo’ name tells us the device comes with a stylus. This isn’t the first of its kind from LG as we have seen several Stylo models in the past. The entry-level phone follows the Stylo 3 Plus. The LG Stylo 4 is described to be taller now and with a bigger 6.2-inch 1080p+ display. Other specs of the smartphone include a 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB storage, microSD card slot, 3300mAh battery, and the latest Android 8.1 Oreo.

LG Stylo 4 arrives with a stylus. It’s not exactly a Galaxy Note rival because the features are not as premium but for LG fans, this can be a good option. Just don’t expect much from this thing although the camera is decent enough with a 13MP rear cam, 5MP front-facing shooter, wide-angle lens, Portrait mode, AI features, and the Q Lens. The Q Lens feature is the same as what’s available on the latest LG V and LG G smartphones.

Checking the audio, the LG Stylo 4 already boasts DTS-X 3D surround audio. It’s great especially when you’re listening with your headphones. What’s more interesting about this phone is the 600 MHz LTE band support. It’s not usual for an affordable device to have such but LG is known to implement the feature even in low-cost phones. It’s safe to assume this phone will be sold through T-Mobile in the US.

If we are to compare the two, the LG Q Stylo and the LG Stylo 4 may appear very similar. To review, the LG Q Stylo comes equipped with a 6.2-inch FullVision Display, Full HD+ resolution, 18:9 screen ratio, thin bezels, curved tempered glass, 32GB or 64GB onboard storage, and 1.5GHz or 1.8GHz octa-core processor. There are three variants available depending on the RAM, storage, and camera specs. For everyone’s knowledge, there’s the LG Q Stylus+, Q Stylus, and Q Stylusα. They feature 4GB or 3GB RAM plus either 16MP or 13MP rear camera, with 8MP or 5MP selfie shooter with Super Wide Angle. Basically, the LG Stylo 4 is the same except for the lower 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. The Q Stylus line obviously has better specs.
