If you’re still trying to find the right time (or the right budget) to get the new flagship devices from Samsung, the next two months may be the right time to get one, if either gold and red is your favorite color. The Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will be getting new color variants, specifically Burgundy Red and Sunrise Gold. However, just the colors are different and so you’ll still get the same smartphones as everyone else who previously got the original colors.
When the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ were launched in February of this year, it came with these colors: Midnight Black, Titanium Gray, Coral Blue, and Lilac Purple. But according to Younghee Lee, CMO and Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics, they came up with two more colors so people can better express their style and personality and these are the two colors that “embrace a modern and classic feel.” The Sunrise Gold is for those looking for a more stylistic color that brings high fashion and urban interior design while the Burgundy Red is one of the deepest red colors available in the market.
As for features, the new flagships have received criticism for not being so different from the Galaxy S8 series. But itbdoes have some new features like the Super Speed Dual Pixel sensor and the Super Slow-mo capabilities of the camera. The premium sound experience is also pretty good, with stereo speakers from AKG and with support for Dolby Atmos.
The Burgundy Red edition will be available in Korea this month while the Sunrise Gold variant will be available in June but only in select markets like Australia, Chile, Germany, Hong Kong, Korea, Mexico, Russia, Spain, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates and Vietnam.
