Xiaomi may no longer be the top OEM in China after being overtaken by Huawei a few years ago but the brand is delivering many great products into the mobile and smart home industries. Xiaomi or Mi is committed to bringing smart home gadgets and smart devices that will definitely make our lives easier. Just recently, the Redmi S2 was launched after we learned more Xiaomi smart devices would be getting some Google Assistant love and that the company will enter France and Italy as a ‘New Player’.
Xiaomi smartphones are aplenty and the Chinese tech giant will only continue to come up with new ones. On the side, Mi devices will also be introduced. We have no idea what will be the biggest and most expensive smart device product that will launch in the coming months but we know Xiaomi is also getting serious in the camera department.
Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi, sent out an email to the staff about the company’s plans to start a separate smartphone camera department. This move is aimed to boost the resources of the company to build smartphone cameras with world-class quality. Xiaomi’s Director of Electrical Engineering Zhu Dan will be heading this new division according to the chief executive.
There are not many details revealed but now we know Xiaomi is working hard to improve its products.
