Last year’s Moto C and Moto C Plus are due for a follow-up. Exactly a year ago, the phones were launched as new feature-packed budget smartphones after the image renders surfaced online. The low-cost phones are now getting the next-gen versions in the form of the Moto C2 and C2 Plus. We have the renders below of the devices said to have decent specs despite the low prices. Renders have been published online by 91mobiles, showing off what seems to be a Moto E4-like design.
These two won’t have reduced bezels but they will be out with thick ones at the front. Based on the images, the power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge of the phones.
If we are to base the specs on the Moto E4, the Moto C2 and C2 Plus may come with a 5-inch HD display, 2.5D glass protection, 2GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage, 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 chipset, microSD card for memory expansion, 8MP rear camera, 5MP selfie cam, and a 2800mAh battery.
The difference will be on the home button of the Moto C2 Plus which could be embedded in the front display. The Moto C2 phone variant may not have it but only a regular button on the side as we mentioned earlier.
