It’s said that good things come to those who wait. Well, sometimes it pays to jump in early. T-Mobile is offering a $100 discount on a two year contract when users purchase the LG G-Slate and data plan before April 27th. But there’s a catch.
A few days back, we confirmed that the G-Slate was going on sale beginning April 20th. The LG G-slate is T-Mobile’s first 4G tablet running Android 3.0 (Honeycomb). It has an 8.9″multi touch screen, dual cameras including a 5MP rear facing and 2MP for video chat, and 32GB or storage on board. It’s capable of recording in 1080p HD video and can also show 3D movies.
To order, you must call T-Mobile directly at 866-464-8662. Select option 3 and use the promo code GSLATE100. Phone hours of operation are Monday-Friday 5am-8pm PT, Saturday 8am-5pm PT, and Sunday 9am-4pmPT. It isn’t clear if this is a new signup offer or if existing T-Mobile users can take advantage of the deal. But there’s no harm in trying.
We advise getting up early though as this “secret deal” is already making it’s way around the web, so there’s bound to be a lot of G-Slate fans taking advantage of it. And users should jump on it sooner, rather than later because if it gets too popular, it may get pulled since it’s now the worst kept secret on the web.
