There are apps for just about anything on the Android platform and if you live in Texas, the state has a new app that will make it easier for you to get information and renew certain types of licenses. The app lets you browse the Texas.gov site in mobile mode, find details about the government, and locate government offices.
It also has images of the different landscapes within Texas and you can ask and answer questions for other people. It also links you to Twitter and Facebook accounts for the state government. The coolest part of the app though is that it links you to details for license renewals.
That means you can use the app to get information on concealed handgun licenses, drivers licenses, vehicle registration, and birth certificates. The app is on the Android Market right now and it is free.
