Snapseed is about to say goodbye. To the year 2016, we mean. But before they leave this year behind, they have one more update to give users for the holidays, when they will probably take a lot of pictures during parties and events. The latest update to the photo editing app, a favorite among mobile photographers, brings some changes and/or improvements to the Text and Perspective tools, as well as the ability to export a photo to an SD card or somewhere else.

First off, the Text tool on Snapseed can now be centered either vertically or horizontally (and easily at that!). Placement of text on photos is not always the same, so it’s pretty handy to have this option. The Perspective Tool meanwhile had a horizontal and vertical adjustment modes previously, but somehow it was removed. Well users have been asking for it and so they added it back to the tools. So now you can adjust and transform your photo’s perspective accordingly.

The Android app also now has an option to export your photo to a target folder, which can include an SD card or somewhere else that you want to save it to. All you have to do is enable it in the settings menu for exports. The Face filter has also been refreshed so you can save enhancements faster and easier.

You can update your Snapseed app for Android from the Google Play page. After this, you’d have to wait until 2017 for the next batch of features and improvements to come out. So for the meantime, happy photo editing over the holidays!
