The global smartwatch game may be on a decline but Pebble as one of its pioneers isn’t stopping yet. The company has just released the latest 4.3 Firmware update plus new apps ready to be downloaded and installed on your Pebble watch. The Pebble 4.3 firmware update brings a number of new features and enhancements. For one, there’s Kickstart as a new watchface for the Pebble Time and 2-Series smartwatches.
Kickstart offers a quick view of the time, daily step progress, step count, and heart rate (exclusive for the 2-Series). You need to update both mobile and watch apps from the Google Play Store/App Store and the Pebble app, respectively. As with most firmware updates, this one also brings numerous performance improvements and bug fixes.
The last Pebble Firmware we featured was 4.0 back in August. That one improved the overall speed of the Pebble wearable device. As for the Pebble Firmware 4.3 version, this one is ready for the Pebble Time, Time Steel, Time Round, and the Pebble 2. It brings Kickstart to the mentioned smartwatch models and several heart rate features and improved heart rate monitoring to the Pebble 2-Series. The latter gets the Heart Rate Zones, Heart Rate Over Bluetooth, and Workouts with Heart Rate.
