If you’re a Chase Bank customer, chances are you probably use online banking as well to manage your various cards and accounts or even to make transactions. The great news is now you can do a lot more things on your mobile device with the launch of the Chase Pay App, which is basically a digital payment solution for both online, in-app, and in store purchases. While the stores where you can use the app is still few, the bank promises to add more in the future.
For now, the Chase Pay App can be used to make payments using QR codes at selected Starbucks and Best Buy stores. Using codes or something similar to that is probably not the most ideal solution for mobile payment gateways, but it’s what they have for now. You will also be able to use it to reload your Starbucks card through the Starbucks mobile app or online at Starbucks.com. These are just a few things, but if you frequent either establishments a lot, then might as well try it out.
Once you’ve downloaded the Chase Pay App, you need to sign in using the same log-in details on your chase.com account. Once you do, all the cards and accounts that you linked there will be loaded on the app already. That’s including Chase Visa Credit, Debit, and Liquid cards. You’ll also be able to use Touch ID later on when you use the app to make it more convenient.
Chase will be adding more merchants soon, specifically Phillips 66®, Conoco®, 76®, Walmart®, ShopRite® and The Fresh Grocer®, and also participating Shell stations. You can download the Chase Pay app from the Google Play Store for free.
