As we anticipated, Vivo has just launched the new V5 phone plus the Vivo X9 and X9 Plus. The Vivo V5 is said to be a selfie-centric smartphone priced at Rs. 17,980 in India. The device is an obvious follow-up to the Vivo V3. You can choose from either the Crown Gold or Space Grey model. This phone is from the Chinese OEM and is actually the first model to be launched in India by the company.
Specs of the Vivo V5 include a 5.5-inch HD display, 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass, 3.55mm audio jack, micro-USB port, microphone, fingerprint sensor, 64-bit 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek 6750 processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB onboard storage, and microSD card slot for expansion. Phone boasts of a metal unibody design plus a 20MP front-facing camera aside from the 13MP rear cam.
When it comes to imaging, the Vivo V5 is impressive mainly as an awesome selfie shooter. Thanks to its high-quality cameras and the a Face Beauty Mode that makes pretty selfies all the time. The selfie cam can make you look prettier, slimmer, and with blemish-free skin so you’ll be satisfied to share and post them for the world to see.
Meanwhile, there’s also the Vivo X9 and Vivo X9 Plus. The two models are also great for capturing images because of the 20MP and 8MP dual front camera setup with Sony IMX376 sensor and f/2.0 aperture. The X9 phone comes equipped with a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD resolution, 4GB RAM, 64GB or 128GB onboard storage, Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset, and a 3050mAh battery. The model also comes with Dual SIM support, 4G LTE, VoLTE, and a fingerprint reader. The Vivo X9 Plus has the same design but with a bigger 5.88-inch display, Snapdragon 653 processor, 128GB storage, 6GB RAM, and 4000mAh battery.
The Vivo X9 and X9 Plus will be ready in Rose Gold or Gold in China and India. As for the pricing, the Vivo X9 64GB is CNY 2798 ($406) while 128GB model is CNY 2998 ($435). No information on pricing and availability of the bigger Vivo X9 Plus but the Vivo V5 and X9 are now up for purchase.
