The last Wileyfox phone we featured was the Spark Cyanogen OS-powered smartphone announced last July. It’s actually a follow up to the Storm from last year. The brand is back with the Swift 2 and Swift 2 Plus and we’re excited to know if this is really better than the first-gen, award-winning Swift.
The Wileyfox Swift 2 from London boasts of premium materials and an impressive design. The Swift phone was given the title ‘Smartphone of the Year’ by Forbes back in 2015. It also became a bestseller on Amazon because of the great specs and value for money.
For this year, Wileyfox made sure the Swift 2 and the Swift 2 Plus were built on the same principles and design of the original Swift. You can choose from any of the three color options: Rose, Gold, and Midnight. Features include some aviation-grade aluminium metal back, 13MP main camera with Phase Detection Auto Focus and dual LED flash, and an 8MP front camera. The bigger Swift 2 Plus uses a 16MP Samsung 3P3 camera sensor.
The Swift 2 now runs Cyanogen 13.1 OS based on Android 6.0.1 Lollipop and also boasts of Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, USB Type C reversible connectivity, 2700mAh, 5-inch 720p HD resolution display with 2.5d curved screen, Corning Gorilla Glass 3, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, 2GB/3GB RAM, and 16GB/32GB storage respectively on the Swift 2 and Swift 2 Plus.
The Wileyfox Swift 2 and Swift 2 Plus are ready for £159 ($199) and £189 ($234)–available online on Wileyfox.com, Amazon, and other online retailers.
