So the rumor is true: Xiaomi has been working on a concept phone. We said it might have a bendable display but it’s actually an edgeless display with 2K resolution. Officially called as the Mi Mix, this concept smartphone boasts of a huge 6.4-inch display. It’s almost bezel-less with about 91 percent body ratio. You’ll be impressed at how Xiaomi was able to build the phone. Well, it’s only a concept phone but the Chinese OEM is really planning on releasing this one soon.
Unlike the latest premium flagships available in the market today, the Mi Mix is said to feature a ceramic build. The aim is to make the device more robust and ready for rough use and the new material is said to be even better. It’s not only more durable, the ceramic makes the Mi Mix look more premium and luxurious.
When it comes to features and specs, the Mi Mix is said to have a 6.4-inch screen with 2040 x 1080 pixel resolution, Snapdragon 821 SoC, 4GB or 6GB RAM, 128GB or 256GB onboard storage, 16MP main camera, 5MP rear camera, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity, NFC, fingerprint scanner, USB Type C, and a 4400mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology. The 128GB is already big for a storage so the 256GB is really impressive. The latter even boasts off some 24K gold plated ring around the camera module so expect the concept phone to be expensive when it becomes available on November 4.
Pricing is set at 3,499 Yuan and 3,999 Yuan for the two variants (about $516 and $590).
