BlackBerry has yet to officially announce the DTEK60 but we already spotted a pre-order page on B&H Photo less than two weeks ago. We’re only waiting for the commercial launch and looks like it’s happening soon according to a leaked ad in Europe. The advertisement is from Media Markt which is a huge retailer in the region. The name ‘BlackBerry DTEK60’ is very clear along with the phone image that definitely confirms what we’ve seen already.
There’s no exact mention of the unit price but the smartphone may cost around €599 or $655. Rumor has it that it will be announced on October 25. Listed are the following specs: 5.5-inch AMOLED Touchscreen Display, 2560 x 1440 QHD resolution, 1.6GHz Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB built-in storage, USB-C port, fingerprint sensor, 21MP rear-facing shooter, and 8MP main camera. There is also a microSD card slot for storage expansion and a 3000mAh batt for a decent battery life.
We still have no confirmation on the October 25 release but we have a feeling the phone is about to be unleashed. It could be available at launch in retail stores and from different mobile carriers. Staples also has its pre-order page ready and company is believed to start shipping on the 27th of October. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
