Fitness trackers and sport smartwatches are a dime a dozen right now, but a lot of them, especially the ones with heart-rate monitors can sometimes be a bit too expensive. A new wearable entering the market from a brand that has made a name in the industry but is still pretty much affordable may just be the thing you’re looking for. We’re talking about the Polar M200 GPS running watch which will be available in selected countries later this year.

The M200 basically has the same functionalities and features as its predecessors, the M400 and M600. But this time, they were able to package it in a way that it is more affordable. It is definitely built for runners and those who are training for marathons or other competitive running events. You don’t even need to bring your smartphone on your runs since the smartwatch already has a built-in GPS that will track your progress. Having its own proprietary heart-rate tracking technology is also a pretty good come-on for this device.

All the data that your wearable collects is saved on the Polar Flow app and is then analyzed to offer you the best suggestions on improving your training. You can also take advantage of their Smart Coaching features, which includes the Running Program a training plan which adapts to your goals and current fitness levels. You can also join events and groups in the web version of the app so you can enlarge your community and get more support from friends and strangers.

The Polar M200 will come in Charcoal Black and Bright Red, but there will also be changeable wristbands in White, Fresh Blue, Mellow Yellow, sold separately. The running watch itself will cost $149 and will be available later this year in the USA, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan and then globally in early 2017.
