Halfbrick Studios has been bringing us addictive and enjoyable games for the past years, causing numerous finger smudges on our smartphones and tablets with games like Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride. They recently launched an old-school type platformer and now it is finally released globally. So if you have time to spare or you’re just crazy about mobile games, make space on your smartphone for Dan the Man and his beat-em-up arcade style of play.
There is no deep backstory here, just a dude named Dan whose sole mission in his digital life is to save the world from all sorts of bad guys by running endlessly across your screen and beating them up with his various skills and weapons No superpowers here. Well, at least not so much. You can choose to play in Story Mode, Endless Survival Mode, and Battle Mode where you can unlock various costumes and weapons and upgrades to help defeat your enemies.
If you don’t want to be Dan, you can also play other characters like super girl Josie or Barry Steakfries. You can even customize your character. You will also get to use powerful weapons and upgradeable attacks. Plus there are daily events that you can play in to get more rewards. There are even secret areas within the game wherein you get treasures if you discover them.
You can download Dan the Man from the Google Play Store for free. There are some in-app purchases available of course, but not necessary if you’re patient enough to play the game without them.
