No matter how great your mobile payment gateway is, if there are only a few banks or cards that support it, it will probably not catch on as much as you want it to. That’s why the platforms that are competing against each other in the market keep on adding more supported banks and financial institutions to their roster. The latest update to Samsung Pay now includes Capitol One credit cards, although not all of them are supported.
If you’ve been living under a rock and don’t know what Samsung Pay is, it is an app that lets you make wireless and cardless payments at any establishment that accepts credit cards through an app. Just swipe up your Samsung phone to launch the app, use your fingerprint scanner to unlock it, hover over the card reader, and your payment should go through. Of course you would need to input all your banking information in the app beforehand but once you’ve done, you can leave all your cards behind. It can also now support debit, gift, membership, and loyalty cards.
The latest update to Samsung Pay now lets you add Capitol One credit cards, if you’re living in the US. However, not all cards are compatible, so it would be best if you check out Samsung’s complete list of banks and financial institutions to see if your card made it. If not, you should just wait as they’re adding more supported cards every few weeks.
The server-side update also includes a lot of bug fixes, stability improvements, and speed optimizations. If you don’t have Samsung Pay yet, you can download the app, but only of course if you have a Samsung device and if your device is already on Marshmallow.
