Litsy, the app that has often been referred to as “if Instagram and Goodreads had a love-child together”, has been in existence for months now, but it was only iOS users who were having all the book-related fun. But now, even those who have Android devices can get in on the action as the app has finally been released. All the things that iPhone users have been enjoying will now be available for Android smartphone users as well.
Basically, Litsy is a photo-sharing social network that is all about the books. A lot of the bookworms are actually on Instagram, calling themselves bookstagrammers, but if you follow a lot of accounts on that photo sharing network, all the book-related posts might be buried under the foodporn and the selfie games. So why not have a photo social network that focuses primarily on books? And that’s why Litsy was born and is now making its way to a bigger market by being present on Android.
Since booklovers are passionate about sharing to the world what they’re currently reading or what they’re recommending, Litsy lets you make different kinds of posts but all connected to a book. You can post blurbs, photos, quotes, reviews, and whatever else you can think of that can be posted about a book. The app also has a Litfuence scoring system which rates you according to the number of posts you share and what influence this has brought to others.
You can download Litsy for free from the Google Play Store for free. It’s pretty simple to learn your way around the app and if you’re familiar with both Instagram and Goodreads, then it will be really easy for you.
