Most people will not have a use for screen recording on their Android device. So popular developer Koushik “koush” Dutta knows that his Mirror app is not for everyone. Nevertheless, he says that he is pleased with the outcome of the app, and so he is releasing the new version, complete with purchase options.
But what can you do with Mirror? Well, screen recording is just one, for those who like to do demo videos and such, this will be a boon, especially as this feature remains free for the app. Then you have some special features like GIF recording, Mirror casting to an AllCast receiver, and Mirror casting to Apple TV.
And because of the recent API changes in Marshmallow, the app has now transformed again into a non-root app, which makes it more accessible for a lot more users. Seriously, there are a lot of good uses for a good screen recording app.
The app is downloadable free via the Google Play Store, and you can use all feature for free, except that there will be watermarks on the output for the premium features. You can pay from as little as USD$3.00 to paying USD$10.00 as a one-time fee to unlock everything.
