When ZTE’s sub-brand Nubia launched its high-end Z11 in late June, people were actually impressed about the new smartphone’s design and even its features. Its initial run in China sold out quickly and they had to do a 2nd run and they ran out of units as well. Now they’re reportedly getting ready for an international release but first, they released a gorgeous-looking black gold edition in China, which will also reportedly be available in international markets soon.

While rose gold seemed to be the color du jour for gadgets this year, seeing this matte black with gold trimmings version of the Nubia Z11 had us wondering why black gold isn’t the favorite color of OEMs. It made the phone look even more high-end and sophisticated with its near bezel-less, all-metal design. It will reportedly have 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which is somewhere in between the current models of 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM and 6GB RAM 128GB ROM.

Aside from that difference, most of the specs of this variant are the same as the original. It is powered by Snapdragon 820, has a fingerprint scanner and has a 3,000mAh but fast-charging battery. It has a 16MP main shooter with OIS and PDAF while its front-facing camera is at 8MP, with wide-angle lens so you can get that group selfie just right.

The Nubia Z11 is priced at $499, which is also somewhere in between the two variants discussed earlier. It will soon be available in China and they’ve confirmed that it will also make its way to the international market as well.
