Sony did not exactly surprise anyone when it dropped their new smartphones, the Xperia XZ and the smaller Xperia X Compact, during the recent IFA 2016. Leaks and rumors were going around the past few weeks. But that doesn’t mean the new smartphones are just same ole, same ole. In fact, we can go so far as saying that the Xperia XZ is the real 2016 flagship from Sony. A new video from the Japanese OEM showcases one of the reasons why it’s a great device.
The video entitled “Capture the Wow of Now” is supposedly shot on the camera of the Xperia XZ, but probably not edited there of course. But the whole 79-second spot features various people at work but what they’re doing is at an amazing, breakneck speed. You have guys slicing pizzas, a guy cutting various citrus into two, cleaners cleaning windows, a woman gift wrapping, and various other seemingly mundane but really fast tasks. Of course, the music also adds to the hyper atmosphere of their actions.
Of course what the video is showing off is that there will be no blurring even though you’re trying to capture really fast actions. That’s because you have the Intelligent Action Mode which takes out the shakes. Even scenes with low lighting can be enhanced with the laser autofocus sensor of the Xperia XZ. It also has triple image sensing technology adapts to the lighting so you can get the perfect shot, complete with vibrant colors, no matter what the lighting condition.
The Xperia XZ will be officially out by October 23 but no pricing details and where it will be available have been released yet. Hopefully, it won’t be as expense as the Xperia X Performance, which has not done well in the market, despite good reviews.
