If you’re the type who edits pictures more than just adjusting brightness or contrast, a detailed mobile photo editing tool is truly a must-have. And one of the apps of choice for a lot of budding mobile photographers is Google’s Snapseed because of the many tools and features that you can use to retouch your travel goals photos or foodporn shots or even just your pet cam images. The latest update to the app brings even more of these tools, concerning faces, perspective, and white balance.
Simply called Face, the all new tool that’s part of the latest Snapseed update puts special focus on images that have, you guessed it, faces. It will bring focus on to the faces that it will be able to detect and if it can’t detect your face, there might be something seriously wrong with it or with your face generally. It will also be able to smoothen your skin and bring clarity to the eyes that it will detect.
The Perspective tool can be used in order to straighten the lines in your photo. It does this by removing the perspective effect from the original image, if that’s really what you want to happen. The White Balance gives users fine color balance control through the eye dropper tool which gives the app pinpoint precision. You will also now be able to set the preferred JPEG compression rate and also save lossless PNG if you’re exporting a photo.
The Snapseed update will start rolling out today, but it will probably be in stages. You can always check the app’s Google Play page to see if it has reached you.
