In the pantheon of Android smartphone manufacturers, Acer is by no means a household name. Still, even with the small piece of the market that they have, the Taiwan-based manufacturers have kept on releasing new devices year after year, and so the release of the new Acer Liquid Z6 and Z6 Plus smartphones come as no surprise at all.
The Acer Liquid Z6 is the standard bearer for this pair, coming in a handy 5-inch form factor, with an HD (720p) LCD display powered by a MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor clocking in at 1.25GHz. That is supported by 1GB RAM with 8GB internal storage. As you can well see, this is a budget offering, but will probably be received well in developing markets.
The Acer Liquid Z6 Plus is the more interesting of the two variants. This one has a 5.5-inch Full HD display powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor supported by 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The battery is monstrous at 4,080mAh, so it should last you the whole day and then some. Like its smaller brother, it will offer Android Marshmallow out of the box.
Pricing for Acer Liquid Z6 Plus will be at around USD$180, still very affordable for its features. The smaller Liquid Z6 will be priced at around USD$130. If you can plump up the extra 50 dollars for the bigger screen and better processor, do so. You will surely thank us for it.
