Just like last year, ARCHOS is scheduled to unveil new mobile devices at the upcoming IFA 2016. The last phone we remember was launched at the MWC 2016 and it’s getting a follow-up in the form of the ARCHOS 50f Helium and ARCHOS 55 Helium range. The two new smartphones are expected to be shown off in Berlin at the IFA grounds.
The new ARCHOS 50f Helium will be released sometime in October complete with a 5-inch HD screen, 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, 2GB RAM, 32GB built-in storage, 4G/LTE connectivity, fingerprint sensor, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor. Phone already runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. There’s also a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB plus the 2000mAh battery that takes advantage of Qualcomm’s Quick Charge technology.
When it comes to imaging, the phone only has an 8MP rear camera with LED flash plus a low 2MP front-facing camera for your selfie needs. Price tag reads £99.90 which is about $131 USD. A Lite version will be ready for £79.90 ($104) but with only 1GB RAM and 8GB of onboard storage.
Meanwhile, the ARCHOS 55 Helium range runs a quad-core Mediatek MT6737 processor.
