Samsung Cloud may be late in joining the bandwagon but the service is anticipated to become popular and widely used especially since it’s from the South Korean tech giant. Well, it isn’t Samsung’s first venture into the cloud business but this new service will allow mobile consumers to easily save and backup data. It was first announced to come with the Galaxy Note 7 but over the weekend, the company said the cloud service will also be available for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. A software update will be released for the two smartphones to bring Samsung Cloud.
As much as the Smart Switch app is useful, the Samsung Cloud is easier and more efficient to use. No need to use a cable or connect to a computer. You only need the cloud. The arrival of the Samsung Cloud service to other units is expected but we’re not sure if older models will have it. Samsung should integrate it because the cloud makes everything easier–if not the previous models, then maybe all future Galaxy phones.
Samsung’s last software update released brings the July security patches plus NFC and Bluetooth enhancements. Expect to receive the OTA or check manually on Settings> About device. Interestingly, the cloud service can be downloaded using the Samsung Smart Switch software while you’re on a desktop or laptop.
