In the next few weeks, the various European leagues are about to start their seasons, and so football (okay, soccer for those who are still stubborn enough to call it that) will be back on everyone’s mind. So this is probably the best time to launch this season’s edition of Championship Manager 17 (because season is 2016-17) for those people who are more interested in coaching from the sidelines than playing in the actual game.
If you’re looking to actually play a game and bring your team to winning glory by being on the pitch, then this game is probably not for you. But if you’re more interested in making decisions which players to buy and trade and which to play in specific games and how to train your players and all those kinds of things, then this means you are meant for this kind of game. You’ll be able to manage 450 teams in 25 leagues in 12 countries, so that’s a lot of players and teams and options that you can mix and match around.
Since it’s a new edition, you also get a new, easier to manage interface full of spreadsheets and tables. Some may not be turned on by this kind of football gameplay, but hey, if you keep shouting at your TV screen every time your favorite club’s manager makes a stupid decision, then this should be right up your alley. And if you’re a Tottenham Hotspurs fan, then you’ll be happy to see your manager, Mauricio Pochettino on the game cover.
You can download Championship Manager 17 from the Google Play Store for free. There are around $100 worth of in-app purchases if you’re willing to spend real money for some parts of the game.
