It’s just been a few days since Samsung introduced us to what others are saying “the best Android device so far” and yet the Galaxy Note 7 is already making waves before it even hits the streets (or rather, the stores). While the specs are already pretty impressive, some are still hoping for more, especially as it has been rumored that a 6GB RAM version will be making its way to China soon. Another Chinese blog has seemingly “confirmed” this rumor in their most recent post.
We first heard of a variant of the Galaxy Note 7 with a 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, as compared to the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, when it was seemingly spotted on the website of China’s version of the US FCC. Now some “promotional staff” of a Chinese carrier are saying that this version does exist and that they will be announcing and releasing details soon.
When Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy Note 7, we couldn’t help but be interested because they were hyping up some unique features of the phablet, including the iris scanner (a first for Samsung consumer smartphones), the 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display, an enhanced S-Pen, the Always-On features and a lot of other things we can explore once it is the market.
The 6GB variant will reportedly cost 6088 yuan (around $912) wile the regular 4GB phablet will cost 5688 yuan (around $853). Given that there is such a slight difference between the prices of the two, then it is quite suspicious. But let’s wait and see if this is an actual reliable rumor.
