If you’re going to own a high-end and premium device like the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, you need to make sure that it’s pretty well-protected or else you’ll probably cry. OtterBox has built a reputation for creating sturdy (although not always fashionable) smartphone cases that are perfect for people who often drop or ding or damage their devices. For Samsung’s newest phablet, cases in their Symmetry and Commuter series are now available and soon, there will be even more.
For the Commuter series, you get a dual-layer case which has a tough shell but is also thin enough that you can slip it in and out of your pocket. The slipcover is shock absorbent and blocks out both lint and grime. The Symmetry series meanwhile, which also has a Symmetry Clear slip has a wider variety of colors and graphics or if you go for the simpler one, a clear case back. It also has dual-material construction to protect your phablet against drops while the raised, beveled edge protects your screen from front-facing falls.
While not yet available in the market, the Alpha Glass screen protectors will be a good pair for your Commuter and Symmetry series of cases, as its anti-shatter glass protects your display and the reactive technology actually helps with your touchscreen sensitivity and of course the brand new feature that comes with the Galaxy Note 7, the iris scanner. Another upcoming product from OtterBox is the Defender Series for the phablet, with an ultra-clear, curved screen protector for the display and for the body itself, a rigid shell with foam liner. It is shock-absorbent and protects your device from dust, dirt, lint, and grime.
The Commuter Series case is priced at $44.95 while the Symmetry Series case is $49.95. They are now available at otterbox.com and other retailers. The Defender Series will be priced at $59.95 while the Alpha Glass screen protectors range from $39.95-$44.95. They will be coming soon in the same places.
