Aside from YouTube Kids getting integrated with YouTube Red, Google is making some more developments for the benefit of the young geeks. Google Maps is getting more 3D images of some of the most famous tourist destinations in the world. We’ve seen a few already including the Grand Canyon, Mont Blanc, and New York City. This time, we can further discover the beauty of The Himalayas.

Actually, this particular experience is designed for the kids but of course, parents can always join in the fun. The developers at Google definitely know what they are doing especially when it comes to education and learning. They have come up with ‘Verne: The Himalayas’–an experimental app that lets the children or just about anyone explore the Mt. Everest as a Yeti.

Yup, Yetis are real and Verne is Google’s employee assigned in The Himalayas. As Verne, in all your 500-foot glory, you can go up the Everest to chase yaks, learn more info about your home, play Himalayan instrument, or ride a jetpack. Verne is able to do more so make sure you start an adventure with him and prepare to be amazed.

Kids will have a lot of fun with Verne. The app is an educational and fun tool to explore the tallest mountain range on earth. Who’s ready for a new adventure?
